Full Circle Greenhouse celebrates 10 years of growth

The passive, solar and student-run greenhouse produces a variety of vegetables, greens and herbs during the academic year. The greenhouse is scheduled to be moved to a new location at CSB over the summer.

Violence prevention grant not renewed, future uncertain

The Department of Justice did not renew a violence prevention grant that had been funding CSB+SJU's violence prevention coordinator, currently held by Dani Lindner. Recently, administration has said they are unable to allocate funds to continue this position.

First-generation students inducted in inaugural honors society chapter

Thirty-seven people, including 26 first-generation students, were inducted into CSB+SJU's first Alpha Alpha Alpha chapter on Sunday. After induction, members of Tri-Alpha are provided with resources for academic help, financial literacy and professional connections.

SJU celebrates over 80 years of maple syrup

Each spring, volunteers gather in the snow-covered St. John’s Arboretum to participate in the annual maple syrup season. The monks began tapping maple trees in 1942 in response to wartime sugar shortages. Production peaked in 1985 at 560 gallons of maple syrup.

Students receive multiple first-place Student Production Emmy Awards

The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences honored SJU junior Nick McGrane, Extending the Link and Johnnie Bennie Media with awards in student production. All three won first-place awards. There were seven nominations for CSB+SJU groups and individuals.
