The Bennie volleyball team has begun their season with non-conference games including two tournaments. Before the games began, the team had a scrimmage at St. Cloud State University to prepare for the season.

The team traveled to Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, to participate in their tournament. The Bennies’ first games were tough losses against East Texas Baptist University, 0-3, and Texas Lutheran University, 2-3.

The Bennies bounced back against Courtland to win 3-2. The Bennies finished off the tournament with a loss against the hosts, 1-3. Next, the Bennies traveled to River Falls, Wisconsin, to participate in a tournament hosted by the University of Wisconsin – River Falls.

The Bennies began the tournament with a 1-3 loss to Simpson College, but responded with a 3-0 win over the University of Minnesota – Morris. The Bennies finished out the tournament against the hosts and lost a close match, 2-3. In their first non-tournament game, the Bennies played the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire and suffered a tough 0-3 loss.

Before conference play, the team will play in a final non-conference tournament at Wartburg College. They will have the chance to rematch Simpson College and will have games against Coe College and Wartburg College.
