Students who are interested in advocacy and government have an opportunity to meet with government officials on the Day at the Capitol on March 1, 2023. This event, which is organized by the Minnesota Private College Council, brings students to the Minnesota State Capitol to meet with legislators to discuss the Minnesota State Grant, which provides essential financial aid to approximately 900 students at CSB and SJU, along with other topics advocated by students. Participants will receive training, meet with individual legislators, have lunch at the Capitol and attend a Q&A session with public policy experts and policymakers.

This is followed by a reception with CSB and SJU alumni associated with the Minnesota State Government. CSB and SJU Senate encourages folks to attend this exciting event! There is no major or background needed to participate. Attendees will have the ability to hone their lobbying skills and advocate for causes they are passionate about with state lawmakers. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to have your voice heard and enact positive changes in your community. Sign up by Feb. 22 at this link: https://secure.everyaction.com/y5tr8b5GTEC4o-mysmFe1Q2.
