Andrea Jenkins, the first Black, transgender woman to serve on a city council in the U.S., spoke at the Senate Leadership Series this Saturday. The student Senates chose intersectionality as the theme of the talk in relation to topics of race and identity at CSB/SJU.

Higher Learning Commission approves joint presidency

After being lead by two separate presidents since the founding of both CSB and SJU, the two instituitons will go forward under the leadership of one president starting next year. The new model was approved on Nov. 8.

Thanksgiving meal to return with changes

After a year's hiatus, the traditional Thanksgiving student dinner is scheduled to return on Nov. 17. However, it will not look exactly the same as it has in the past. Students do not need reservations to attend, and the dinner will be served buffet-style in Guild Hall at SJU.

Presidents meet with IWL, respond to demands

Following the IWL's protest on Oct. 21, the presidents met with the group on Oct. 25. The presidents sent an email on Nov. 3 addressing the IWL's demands and committing to actions through the end of the semester.
