Enrollment numbers increase
This fall, both campuses saw an increase in enrollment from last year.
The 10-day consensus saw a three percent increase in fall 2025 enrollment at St. Ben’s and St. John’s.
This fall, CSB+SJU welcomed 692 first year domestic students, 14 international students, and 49 transfer students combined across the two campuses. This is an increase from last year’s numbers across the board, offering a record number of transfer students in the last decade again.
In the past, there have been delays in award notifications regarding Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or more commonly known as FAFSA. This past year saw a slight delay of FAFSA, but this coming cycle is on track for an October 1st launch, which is the typical timeline for FAFSA.
Dean of Admission Erin Pearson said she’s excited about the Class of 2029 and the future of CSB+SJU. Pearson began her role as Dean of Admission this past summer. She is coming from a previous role as Assistant Vice President of Enrollment Management at Georgia Southern University. Prior to that she served as Associate Director of Admission at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
“I hope to help with getting the word out about these institutions. These integrated campuses are gems that are kind of hidden, so I am excited to do whatever I can to make sure that the right staff are in the right places to be able to deliver that message,” Pearson said.
Pearson is looking forward and hopeful to the future of these institutions, noting that CSB+SJU are already off to a good start on applications for fall 2026.
“Our team is already recruiting for the next cycle. All our travel is booked out to November, and we are continuing to look forward to bringing in new students,” Pearson said.
As international exchange student policies are undergoing changes at a national level, CSB+SJU is continuing efforts to recruit and welcome students from outside the United States, ensuring that those students know their options and access to a safe environment at CSB+SJU.
Pearson continuously noted that the increase of enrollment numbers come from efforts across the two campuses.
“There are so many people who are invested in the mission of CSB+SJU. We are grateful for their help and grateful for their support. From administration, faculty and staff, student ambassadors, and the ‘Boz Bostroms’ [personalities], they are why our team can go out every single year and continue to do what we do, because we know we’re supported here on campus,” Pearson said.
