On the evening of Sept. 19, Campus Security and Life Safety were made aware of concerns by students about a man named Brian Walsh, who was seen on both the CSB and SJU campuses. In an email sent on Wednesday, Campus Security and Life Safety identified Walsh as a male in his mid-thirties, standing 6’2” and weighing approximately 175 lbs.

Although his behavior appeared non-sexual, Walsh had no business on either campus and students reported unwanted and persistent in-person and online conversations and communication of a non-sexual nature. The Record has confirmed multiple sightings of Walsh, including at the Black Student Union (BSU) “Meeting and Mixer,” at the Clemens Perk on Sept. 20 and outside of Gorecki on Sept. 21.

In the email, Campus Security and Life Safety reported that Walsh has been issued a trespass notice from both campuses, effective immediately, and that campus administrative offices and local law enforcement have been notified of the situation.

If anyone sees Walsh, or any suspicious person, vehicle or circumstance on campus, they are asked to report the incident to Life Safety at 320-363-2411 or Campus Security at 320-363-5000. The email from Life Safety and Campus Security also advised students to use caution on social media.
