CSB hockey looks to build on historic 2022-23 season

The St. Ben’s hockey team has started off their season with their first three games these past few weeks.
The team faced the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire for their first two games of the season.
“We knew going into the first two games of the season that they would be a challenge and a test for our team,” senior forward Corrine Brown said via email.
Both games resulted in losses. However, Brown still shares a positive outlook.
“We had a close, one-goal game which showed that we can compete with the top-ranked teams,” Brown said.
After another loss to University of Wisconsin-River Falls, the team starts their season off with a 0-3 record heading into their next game against Concordia this Thursday.
Overall, the Bennies’ season is just beginning.
“Expectations for this season are to be a top competing team in the MIAC, while also striving to be the hardest working team,” Brown said.
The team’s main goal is to have the opportunity to compete in the MIAC playoffs and ultimately compete for the MIAC championship.
“We have a young team, and we are willing to put in the work this season,” Brown said.
