CSB/SJU announce first-ever joint president
Brian Bruess makes history by becoming the first CSB/SJU joint president. The decision was made after a monthslong search led by the presidential search committee. Bruess is currently the president of St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wis. He will assume office on July 1.
Institute, center co-host event for Equal Rights Amendment
The Institute for Women's Leadership and the McCarthy Center held an event advocating for the passage of the Equal Rights Amendment. Students were encouraged to sign a petition and write call-to-action letters.

Jolie Olie's Sweet Shoppe plans to open in downtown St. Joseph in March. The shop will offer a variety of sweet treats such as cookies, parfaits and cupcakes.
Ojibwe scholar speaks at St. John’s about Ojibwe culture in the modern world
The Indigenous Students Association hosted Anton Treuer to speak to the CSB/SJU community. His presentation focused on the tradition and culture of the Ojibwe tribe as well as how Ojibwe culture could help prevent the ongoing crisis of climate change in today's society.
Global health minor set for fall
In the fall semester of 2022 students will be able to add a global health minor to pair with their major.
Institute of Women’s Leadership hosts speaker
The Institute of Women's Leadership invited businesswoman Amelia Hardy to CSB to speak about leadership, equity and inclusion of women in the workforce.
SJU administration introduces dorm cameras proposal
Damage to SJU first-year and sophomore residential halls have led administration to propose the idea of cameras to reduce vandalism. The SJU senate voiced privacy concerns over the new surveilance cameras.
Joint president search enters final stages
The presidential search committee completed interviews to narrow down the candidates for the first joint president. Students hope the finalist will help bring stronger integration between the schools and embrace important campus values for both Bennies and Johnnies.
