The spring season color palette: a look into the coming fashion trends post-winter

There is something to be said about returning back to the normality of things, and one of those things for me is looking at what the next trend cycle looks like in fashion. While for some spring might be around the corner, I always know that Minnesota never seems to run out of winter.

Nevertheless I still wanted to cover the spring trends so there is some flora and fauna to glance at rather than snow or dirt.

Drifting slowly away from last year trends of bright colors it seems to have spring taking on a much more softer pallet and trends on the runways which translates into our stores.

Still riding that Olympics high from last year a sense of sporty outerwear seems to be making a run for the front of the racks with fitted zip-ups and wind breakers popping up more and more.

Just like in the fall it seems that plaid is now transitioning into spring with us as the pattern is started to be used more and more.

If plaid isn’t your style don’t worry, there will be the wild animal print here and there once and a while. One last interesting style to take note of is asymmetry.

I don’t love it, but hey that is what fashion is all about, finding something that is for you.

The color pallets are personally always one of my favorites to look at. As mentioned before the bright colors seem to be taking more a muted route. A pale pink, green and blue seem to be some of the top colors. A light navy blue and sage green seem to be making it around as well. Don’t worry if you feel like you will miss the bright color, yellow, orange with a hit of red and lime green are still in the round up.

So no matter if there is still snow on the ground or you can still see your breath, spring is (hopefully) around the corner.

For me I know I have been trying to look for any glimmers of enjoyment, and that might just come in the shades of pastels and plaid.
