Students were shocked after CSB President MaryAnn Baenninger announced that first-year student Dayleen Krahling passed away Wednesday morning.
Krahling was 19 and from Litchfield, Minn. The cause of death is not yet known.
Wednesday night, counselors from CSB Health Services and sisters from the monastic community were on hand to help students cope with the news. A prayer service was held Thursday night in the basement of Regina Hall.
Krahling’s Facebook has exploded with well wishes from her friends and family. A Facebook group, “Remembering Dayleen Krahling” was also created.
Baenninger asked the community to keep Krahling and her family in their thoughts and prayers.
